Dr. Matthew Arthur is originally from Upstate New York. He received his bachelor’s degree from State University of New York Oswego with a major in Biology and a minor in Chemistry. He received his postgraduate degree from the University of Bridgeport College of Chiropractic in May of 2012, graduating Magna Cum laude. Upon completing his degree, Dr. Arthur moved to North Carolina and worked as an associate Doctor for 5 years prior to opening 919 Spine. Dr. Arthur combines the use of manipulation, numerous soft tissue techniques, rehabilitative exercises, and physio therapies to treat musculoskeletal conditions. He believes that maintaining function and integrity of the musculoskeletal system involves an evidenced based multisystem approach, which can help patients maintain a pain free and healthy lifestyle. Dr. Arthur has worked with many types of patients, from professional and amateur athletes to everyday individuals. Dr. Arthur enjoys helping anyone looking to improve their physical health in a proactive manner.

Dr. Arthur currently lives in Morrisville, NC with his wife Mary and dog Brie. He is a very active individual and comes from a competitive running background. After years of running he decided to switch gears and try Crossfit. He currently competes in local competitions, and has been very involved in the Crossfit community for the past 5 years. He likes to incorporate his knowledge of fitness and human movement into his practice.

Dr. Cody Gioia grew up in a small town outside of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Pittsburgh, majoring in Rehabilitation Science and Pathokinesiology. After college, he worked in a multi-disciplinary rehabilitation facility for nearly two years before he went on to earn his doctorate at New York Chiropractic College in December of 2017. Prior to joining the team at 919 Spine, Dr. Gioia worked as an Associate Doctor in a family practice in Northern Virginia.

Dr. Gioia believes in treating all of his patients with individualized, evidence-based care. He utilizes a variety of skills such as spinal manipulation, functional soft tissue techniques, dry needling, and athletic taping to optimize function and improve overall performance in each of his patients.

Combining his background in functional rehabilitation with the techniques above, Dr. Gioia is able to ensure that his patients achieve the best possible outcomes while under his care.

Outside of the practice, Dr. Gioia is a very active individual and enjoys lifting weights, running and golf. He likes to spend his time outdoors and enjoys activities such as camping, hiking, hunting, and fishing. He also loves music from a variety of genres and likes playing the guitar. Dr. Gioia currently resides in Fuquay Varina with his wife, Amber and two daughters, Aletta and Adelyn.

Dr. Adam Beck is originally from a small town in Upstate New York. He received his bachelor’s degree in physical education with a concentration in athletic training. In 2014, he received his postgraduate degree from Palmer College of Chiropractic-Florida, graduating Magna Cum Laude. Upon completing his degree, Dr. Beck moved to the Raleigh area where he has practiced as an associate for 8 years. He combines chiropractic, athletic training, and fitness coaching skills to create individualized plans to help patients reach their goals. Treatments include manipulation, physiotherapy, dynamic athletic taping as well as various soft tissue techniques; FAKTR, fascial manipulation and dry needling to provide relief for musculoskeletal conditions. Dr. Beck believes in helping people remove barriers to moving well, coaching them to move often, in order to find long term resolution of pain and dysfunction.

Dr. Beck’s interest in Chiropractic began early in his life. He was diagnosed with severe asthma shortly after being born and found Chiropractic care always helped his symptoms. He strongly believes it eventually led to the resolution of his asthma.

Outside of the office, Dr. Beck stays busy with various hobbies. Since moving to North Carolina he has coached baseball at the rec and travel levels as well as providing skill lessons. Dr. Beck has also coached in the gym setting, including CrossFit and sports performance. In his free time Dr. Beck likes to powerlift, play softball, and cook some barbecue. He currently resides in Wendell with his dog Cy.

Madison Brugnoli

Office Manager (Holly Springs)

Madison graduated from East Carolina University in 2022 and earned her Bachelor's of Science in Public Health with a Pre-Medical concentration. She joined the 919 Spine team in September 2022 as a chiropractic assistant and currently works as an office manager in the Holly Springs office. She really enjoys her job and working with the 919 Spine team. She plans on earning her Master of Nutrition & Dietetics and is also pursuing her CCMA at night school. Madison is always full of laughter, friendly energy and brings joy to every interaction.


Madison is extremely passionate about nutrition, wellness and healthy living. After Madison leaves the office for the day, she loves to work out, take photographs and cook. She also loves the beach, traveling, spending time with friends, and hanging out with her pug, Bean.

Office Manager (Morrisville)

Jessica joined the 919 Spine team in the fall of 2022 after relocating to the Raleigh-Durham area. Originally from Charlotte, Jessica attended Queens University, studying Journalism and Digital Media. Previously, she worked as a Patient Coordinator at a physical therapy clinic. Jessica is now the Office Manager in our Morrisville office, welcoming and checking in patients, and aiding the overall flow of daily appointments. She's a great colleague with an awesome sense of humor, who is always bringing out the funny in every situation.

In her free time, Jessica enjoys a good game night with friends, deeply engaging in her church community, doing arts and crafts, or sharing her handmade natural wax candles at a local market. 



Helena Redman

Chiropractic Assistant

Helena has a CNA degree from her home country Sweden, and a holistic health and wellness background. She joined the 919 Spine team in December 2022 as a Chiropractic assistant to Dr Matt, in both the Morrisville and Holly Springs office. She can mostly be found administering shockwave (Acoustic/Sound wave) therapy treatments on patients, as well as any other duties needed around the office. She loves having fun and sharing laughter along the way, and is an unyielding optimist.  


Helena was a professional singer for many years in south FL, and is still singing around the triangle with her band JIVES, or as a solo artist. On her spare time she loves to listen to live music, or be outside paddle boarding (SUP), hiking, camping, hanging out with friends or her 3 kids and 2-year-old granddaughter.

Marida Erikson

Administrative Assistant

Marida started working as an administrative assistant for 919 Spine in Holly Springs, NC. As someone who has had pain relief from chiropractic care, Marida finds fulfillment in being a part of helping others receive the same. She is studying to become a Sonographer. In her free time, Marida competes in weightlifting and loves the outdoors, reading, and singing.
